Dad.Alcoholic.Cirrhosis.No Transplant?

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I think the best thing would be to speak with his doctor and find out what his status is on the transplant list. I think you are right in so far as healthy livers would be given to younger people with no history of alcohol abuse. This doesn't mean that your dad won't get a new liver though. Find out all you can from the hospital so at least you'll know where you stand.
